19th Hole Newletter
From Our New President
Welcome members to our 2010 season, which should be a great one with lots of events and a couple of fresh faces on our board. I’m looking forward to helping make your season a great one. The course is in great shape and getting better each year due to the great efforts of our grounds crew, headed up by Dennis.
All of you are invited to our club meetings, which are usually held on the first Thursday of each month at 5:00pm in the WEH restaurant where we post our scores. Come join us and see what goes on behind the scenes, and besides, we can always use fresh ideas. Also, we look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have about the club.
Let me introduce Tim Birk and Rocky Bybee, our newest board members, and thank them for getting involved. Please seek them out and give them a hearty “thanks” for their devotion and interest in helping make your club the best. They will gradually be phased into the inner workings of our activities and helping out at our events in the future. So please talk to them, and the rest of us on the board, with any questions you may have about the club.
I also want to thank the rest of our board in advance for a great 2010 season.

LATE TO THE PRINTER
I apologize for the delay , due to computer issues, in getting this newsletter out to all of you. Our first men’s club event is mid February so I know that I’m cutting it pretty close. My goal has always been to do the best job that I can, especially in this my “lame duck” year as your secretary. Unfortunately, other obligations are making this commitment more of a challenge these days.

 Decisions on the Rules of Golf
We have the list of the 28 new and 51 revised Decisions on the Rules of Golf but not the wording. As soon as I get that, I’ll select the ones I think will most pertain to OVGC and post them on all three club bulletin boards. And the most important of those will be included in future newsletters.

From our Senior Tournament Chairman
Welcome back all you seniors for our 2010 season. Our senior events will start with a Kick-Off Sneak on March 31st. With a total of 23 senior events planned for our 2010 season.
Remember, all players 55 years and older are eligible for our senior tournaments. With your continued support I look forward to another “GREAT” golfing season for our O.V.G.C. Seniors.”
